‘Hawaii Five-0’ & ‘Blue Bloods’ Ratings Up In Return From Break; ‘Undercover Boss’ Slips In Return To Friday

The broadcast scripted series kicked off their return to originals after a holiday break last night with CBS Friday dramas Hawaii Five-0 (1.4 in adults 18-49) and Blue Bloods (1.4) leading the way. Both were up double digits from their most recent originals on December 12: Hawaii was 27% higher, while Blue Bloods perked up by 17% and drew an impressive 11.6 million total viewers.

Undercover BossLast night also featured Undercover Boss‘ move back to Friday. The CBS reality series drew a 1.4 in returning to its old time slot. That was down from its previous airing on Sunday last week when CBS’ lineup was boosted by a football overrun. That was also down from the 1.6 rating for Undercover Boss’ season premiere in the Friday 8 PM slot in September 2013.

With a full slate of originals, CBS easily dominated the night with a 1.4 in 18-49 and 10.2 million viewers. The only first-run program on the other English-language nets last night was ABC’s 20/20 (1.1), down a tenth from last week.
