Golden Globes Nominations – Watch Live

Nominations for the 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards are being announced this morning by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The organization will have a slew of presenters — Kate Beckinsale, Peter Krause, Paula Patton and Jeremy Piven — join HFPA boss Theo Kingma unveiling noms in 25 film and TV categories. The first group of nominees are being announced at 5:20 AM PT, with the second batch saved for live on NBC’s Today at 5:38 AM PT. That network will air the Golden Globes on Sunday, January 11 with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler returning as hosts.

The Globes’ structure ensures plenty of films are repped, but the group of LA-based international journos pretty much mirrored the eventual Oscar results last year, choosing eventual winner 12 Years A Slave its top drama and also nailing Matthew McConaughey and Cate Blanchett in the acting categories. On the TV side, AMC’s Breaking Bad and Fox’s rookie Brooklyn Nine-Nine took the top series honors.

Stay tuned for analysis of this morning’s noms from Deadline’s Awards Columnist Pete Hammond and Editor-in-Chief/TV Nellie Andreeva.
