Charles Roven Adds Management Shingle; Dave Fleming Will Head Atlas Artists

The prolific producer Charles Roven has expanded his Atlas Entertainment to include a management shingle. Atlas Artists will be run by veteran manager Dave Fleming, as a subsidiary to Atlas Entertainment. Fleming began working with Roven when the former was a manager at The Gold/Miller Company, whose principals Jimmy Miller and Eric Gold pooled their resources with Roven to form Mosaic Media Group. That entity disbanded in 2009, and Fleming since has worked for Miller at Mosaic. He becomes the principle of this company, which is Roven’s first foray into the talent game since MMG.

charles-roven_orgRoven generates plenty of films as producer, ranging from the Dark Knight trilogy to Man Of Steel, the upcoming Batman V Superman, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Warcraft and American Hustle. His producing deal is at Warner Bros. The idea here is to add a company that cross-pollinates talent with those production capabilities.

Fleming will start the business with his own clients and build out from there. Those include Olivia Munn, Kristin Davis, Jaimie Alexander (Thor), Kim Raver, Kathryn Morris, Jaime Pressly, Holt McCallany, Natalie Martinez, Dawn Olivieri (House Of Lies), Blake Jenner (starring in Richard Linklater’s That’s What I’m Talking About), Alison Sudol (Transparent/USA’s Dig), Aimee Garcia (Dexter/Robocop), Sarah Wynter (NBC’s Odyssey), Amanda Righetti (The Mentalist), Jessica Szohr (USA’s Complications), Alexandra Breckenridge (The Walking Dead), and G Hannelius (Disney Channel’s Dog With A Blog).

“I’m excited to partner with my longtime friend and mentor Chuck Roven,” Fleming said. “The goal will be to help build new and different platforms across all media for our clients and the Atlas brand.” Fleming started at Gersh before moving to management. He has been exec producer on the indies Billy Boy and To Whom It May Concern.

The nice thing for Fleming is that both Mosaic and Atlas have been based at 9200 Sunset Blvd, so he’s basically going to the same address and working it from the same table at Soho House.
