Jeff Astrof Inks Overall Deal With Warner Bros. TV

Comedy veteran Jeff Astrof has signed an overall deal with Warner Bros. Television to develop projects for broadcast via WBTV and cable via its Warner Horizon division.

The pact expands Astrof’s relationship with the studio. He serves as executive producer/showrunner on Warner Horizon’s TBS comedy series Ground Floor, which is returning for a second season tonight. Additionally, he previously had a two-script deal with WBTV and is currently writing/executive producing a multi-camera meatball restaurant comedy, which has a pilot production commitment at CBS. Both that project and Ground Floor are produced in conjunction with Bill Lawrence’s WBTV-based Doozer banner.

Astrof, repped by ICM Partners, got his break at WBTV with a writing gig on the studio’s mega hit Friends. He also worked on the studio’s comedy series The New Adventures of Old Christine and $#*! My Dad Says.
