Brandon T. Jackson To Co-Star On NBC Comedy Series ‘Mr. Robinson’

Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder) is set to co-star opposite Craig Robinson in Robinson’s upcoming NBC comedy series. Mr. Robinson, from Universal TV, centers on Craig (Robinson), who leads a double life — at night he jams in a rock band called Nasty Delicious that has been unsuccessfully trying to break out for a decade; by day, he has a gig that pays the bills working as a substitute music teacher with the Chicago School District.

Jackson will play Craig’s younger brother Ben, the guitarist for Nasty Delicious. He’s a care-free optimist who is convinced that their big break is just around the corner. Lenora Chrichlow, Spencer Grammer, Jean Smart, Ben Koldyke and Amandla Stenberg also co-star in the midseason series, which is yet to be scheduled by NBC.

Brandon, repped by Mark Adkins and CAA, plays a lead on the Hulu series Deadbeat and recurred on Showtime’s Californication.
