‘Christmas Under Wraps’ Ratings Break Hallmark Channel Records

Hallmark Channel’s original movie Christmas Under Wraps delivered a big present to the network on Saturday, when the premiere drew 5.8 million viewers and a 5.0 household rating — cable’s top-rated original movie of the year and the second-most-watched. Both numbers also set records for Hallmark Channel and especially scored in key demos: women 25-54 (1.2 million), women 18-49 (930,000), adults 25-54 (1.6 million) and adults 18-49 (1.3 million).

The movie stars recent Dancing With The Stars standout and Full House alum Candace Cameron Bure as a doctor who starts life over in Alaska and eventually must choose between her new life and her old one.

On Sunday, Hallmark’s Countdown To Christmas programming continued with the Anne Hache-starring comedy One Christmas Eve, which drew 3.6 million viewers and a 3.2 rating.
