Jerusalem A Dangerous Place After Christ In NBC’s ‘A.D.’ – Trailer

“This Jesus cult grows stronger by the hour with the sole aim of challenging us all,” exclaims one of the Roman dignitaries in the first trailer for NBC’s 12-episode series A.D.,  premiering April 5, Easter Sunday next year.

Executive produced by Mark Burnett and Roma DowneyA.D. is the follow-up to their 10-part miniseries The Bible on History and details the impact of Jesus Christ’s resurrection following his crucifixion and the events that unfold.

Starring in A.D. are Juan Pablo di Pace (Jesus), Vincent Regan (Pilate), Greta Scacchi (Mother Mary), Aniss Elkohen (Philip), Richard Coyle (Caiaphas), Babou Ceesay (John), Chipo Chung (Mary Magdalene), Cesare Taurasi (Judas) and Adam Levy (Peter) among many others.

A.D. is produced by LightWorkers Media, the faith and family division of United Artists Media Group (UAMG). Richard Bedser also executive produces with Burnett and Downey.
