‘Meet The Press’ Post-Midterm Election Broadcast Tumbles

CBS’s Face the Nation was the most watched Sunday Beltway show the Sunday after the midterm election with 3.374 million viewers — 902,000 of them news demo viewers.

ABC’s This Week finished first with news-demo viewers — 937,000 — and finished second among overall audience, with 3.060 million tuned in.

And NBC’s Meet the Press, with Washington junkie Chuck Todd replacing David Gregory — it finished about a quarter of a million viewers behind This Week in news-demo viewers, with 669,000 tuned in. In overall audience, it trailed frontrunner Face the Nation by about half a million viewers.

Fox News Sunday finished fourth with 1.48 million viewers and 519,000 news demo viewers, though that’s its second highest rated telecast of ’14.

Compared to comparable Sunday in ’13, MTP  turned in double-digit losses; ditto Face the Nation. This Week and Fox News Sunday both were up.
