Chris Diamantopoulos Joins HBO’s ‘Silicon Valley’; Ashley Zukerman In Syfy Mini ‘Childhood’s End’

Chris Diamantopoulos has landed a recurring role in HBO comedy Silicon Valley. The Mike Judge-helmed series takes a comic look at the modern-day high-tech gold rush through the prism of a startup company. Diamantopoulos, repped by WME and Untitled, will play Russ Hanneman, a successful businessman who takes interest in Pied Piper. Diamantopoulos is coming off the last season of Showtime’s Episodes and currently recurs on NBC’s About A Boy.

Ashley Zukerman (Manhattan) is set for a lead role in Syfy’s Childhood’s End, a six-hour miniseries based on Arthur C. Clarke’s classic to premiere in 2015. It follows the peaceful alien invasion of Earth by the mysterious ‘Overlords,’ whose arrival begins decades of apparent utopia under indirect alien rule, at the cost of human identity and culture. Zukerman will play Jake Greggson, an American production designer with artistic sensibilities whose children begin to exhibit psychic powers. Zukerman, repped by APA, Cohn/Torgan Management and Lisa Mann Creative Management in Australia, currently stars in WGN America’s Manhattan. His other TV credits include Fox’s Terra Nova, HBO miniseries The Pacific and the long-running Australian network drama Rush.
