CW Orders More ‘America’s Next Top Model’, ‘Penn & Teller: Fool Us’, ‘Masters Of Illusion’

The CW has ordered new seasons of America’s Next Top Model, Penn & Teller: Fool Us, and Masters Of Illusion to air during 2015.

After acquiring the original British series from DCD Rights to air this past summer, network has ordered 13 brand new one-hour episodes of Penn & Teller: Fool Us, which will go back into production next year. As in the previous season, the one-hour competition series features aspiring magicians trying to fool illusionists Penn Jillette and Teller. Those who do get to perform with the magic duo at their show in the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The live studio audience and the TV audience watch along with Penn & Teller as they try to figure out the stunts, seeing each trick performed just once. The show is created and produced by 117 Productions and September Films (part of DCD Media) for ITV, with executive producers Peter Adam Golden and Andrew Golder.

Dean Cain will host 13 new half-hour episodes of Masters Of Illusion, featuring escapes, sleights-of-hand, and large-scale illusions performed in front of a studio audience. The show is from Associated Television International with executive producers David McKenzie, Al Schwartz, Gay Blackstone, and David Martin, along with co-executive producers Justin Pierce and Jim Romanovich.

The 22nd cycle of America’s Next Top Model will again feature men and women contestants vying for the title. Last August, the 21st (!) cycle of America’s Next Top Model (0.4) premiered, down a tenth in 18-49 from the previous season’s two-hour opener, but posted the network’s best 18-34 (0.5) rating in the hour in more than a year and a half. It’s produced by 10 by 10 Entertainment in association with The Tyra Banks Company.  The executive producers are Ken Mok, Tyra Banks and Laura Fuest Silva. The series was created by Banks and developed by Mok and Kenya Barris.

Currently, America’s Next Top Model is under license in over 100 markets worldwide and has 20 international versions in production. ATop Model and the format are licensed internationally by CBS Studios International.
