Scott Glenn Thriller ‘The Barber’ Snapped Up By ARC

ARC Entertainment has bought the U.S. rights to The Barber, the suspense thriller starring Scott Glenn, in a deal worth mid-six figures. ARC is looking to unspool Barber in spring 2015 in both theaters and on premium VOD. Film centers around a father whose life is destroyed in pursuit of a monster and a son caught in a deadly charade as he tries to solve his father’s obsession. Barber, which was directed by Basel Owies from a script by Max Enscoe, also stars Chris Coy (AMC’s Walking Dead), Stephen Tobolowsky, Olivia Taylor Dudley (Transcendence) and Kristen Hager (Syfy’s Being Human). Chapman Filmed Entertainment’s Travis Knox serves as producer on Barber while Bob Yari and William Immerman are executive producers.  The Barber is the first project developed from Chapman Filmed Entertainment, an independent film production company run through Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts which will produce three to four micro-budget features annually.  ARC Entertainment’s Scott Moesta negotiated the acquisition with Robbie Little of The Little Film Company, who is handling global sales.
