Michael Bay In Talks To Helm Benghazi Pic

Michael Bay is in negotiations to potentially helm 13 Hours at Paramount, based on the book Thirteen Hours: The Inside Account Of What Really Happened In Benghazi by Mitchell Zuckoff, which follows the true story of the events on September 11, 2012, when terrorists attacked a U.S. State Department Special Mission Thirteen Hours The Inside Account Of What Really Happened In BenghaziCompound and a CIA station in Benghazi, Libya. A source close to the project said, “Bay read a first draft of the script and liked it.” There is no contract at this time, but Bay is in talks. Should the project move forward, there would be a March 9 production start date.

Chuck Hogan wrote the script, and Erwin Stoff is set to produce through 3 Arts Entertainment’s production label. In terms of its run-and-gun military mission story, 13 Hours  is akin to Black Hawk Down. Paramount would not comment on the news, and WME, Bay’s agency, could not confirm at this time.
