Candace Owens, the right-wing media figure, is no longer at The Daily Wire, her signature platform for nearly four years.
“Daily Wire and Candace Owens have ended their relationship,” Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boreing wrote on X/Twitter this morning.
Owens confirmed the departure, and said that she would be bringing her show to her personal YouTube page after a brief hiatus. “The rumors are true— I am finally free,” she wrote.
Known for her culture warrior rhetoric, Owens has embraced conspiracy theories since the Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7. This week, the Anti-Defamation League called out Owens for “vitriolic antisemitism.” Earlier this week, she “liked” a tweet that advanced an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that Jews were “drunk on Christian blood,” per Mediaite.
“My crime is having stood up for myself against your network of smears,” Owens wrote following the ADL criticism.

To much publicity, it was announced in November, 2020 that Owens would move to Nashville to join the platform’s team.
Owens had publicly clashed with Ben Shapiro, co-founder of the brand, oever the Israel-Hamas war. In November, Shapiro had called Owens’ statements “absolutely disgraceful” and “disreputable.”
More to come.
There’s another angle. Shapiro isn’t stupid. He will eventually have to houseclean crazies and tack towards the center to remain relevant, when Trump crashes and burns. And even if the unthinkable happens, experience with autocrats has shown that those closest to them are usually in most danger.
I almost pity Owens. She so wants to be liked by people who mock her every time she walks out of the room. She’ll always only ever be a water carrier for them.
Yeah, right. She’s a political hack and loves to provoke BECAUSE it makes her money.
Imagine how much you must hate yourself to want to be desperately accepted by far right white supremacists.
This was inevitable. She was never a good fit with DW.
While I may never agree with your politics, I admire people for separating themselves from any ideological zealots. I am hoping that post Trump we can align into a less vitriolic nation than we’ve had for almost eight years now. The two-party system isn’t broken, merely infected.
The two party system has always been bad. Obviously you must belong to one of them. If there were say 20 or more, there would need to be more compromise.
