
10 Cloverfield Lane helmer Dan Trachtenberg has come aboard to direct Sony Pictures/Columbia’s Uncharted, the long-gestating feature based on the Naughty Dog-created PlayStation video game series centered around treasure hunter Nathan Drake. Shawn Levy was originally attached to direct the film but left production because of issues with scheduling.
Deadline previously reported that Spider-Man Homecoming star Tom Holland had been tapped to lead this pic. Jonathan Rosenberg and Mark Walker are working on a new draft of the screenplay. Joe Carnahan penned a previous version.
Charles Roven, Avi Arad, Alex Gartner, Ari Arad are producing the Arad/Atlas Entertainment Production film. Jonathan Kadin is overseeing the project on behalf of Columbia.
ICM Partners, Grandview, and Gang Tyre Ramer & Brown rep Trachtenberg, whose directorial credits include Black Mirror: Playtest and the pilot for Amazon’s forthcoming comic book-based series, The Boys.
