1091 Media, which recently acquired the The Orchard’s film and TV division, has taken domestic theatrical distribution and home entertainment rights to Frédéric Tcheng’s documentary Halston about the famed 1970s/80s designer. A theatrical release is being eyed for the spring. CNN Films already has North American broadcast rights. Halston will air during the third quarter of this year. Doc will later stream on Amazon.
