The surprised look on audience faces at Manhattan’s Comedy Cellar when unannounced guest Ray Romano strides onto the stage says it all: Ray’s back! And he’s not Louis C.K.!

They can be forgiven their shock: Romano hasn’t done a stand-up special in 23 years, and here he is doing not one but two gigs for his Feb. 5 Netflix show. First up is a drop-in at the Comedy Cellar, the Greenwich Village club that has played host of late, controversially, to C.K.

After that Romano heads around the corner to the storied Village Underground for another set.

The Netflix special will be called, appropriately enough, Ray Romano: Right Here, Around the Corner, and will feature the former Everybody Loves Raymond star opining on friendship, marriage and old age (he says these days he sometimes needs to “take a knee” just when things are getting most interesting with his wife).

Ray Romano: Right Here, Around the Corner launches Tuesday, Feb. 5 on Netflix. Check out the trailer above and let us know what you think.
