Rachel Brosnahan made it back-to-back Golden Globes on Sunday, taking the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy honors for a second year in a row for her starring role in Amazon Prime’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
The series, in its second season, was also up for repeat victory in the Best Comedy Series category; that honor went to Netflix’s Chuck Lorre series The Kominsky Method (which also earned a comedy actor win for Michael Douglas earlier in the night). Brosnahan, the series and supporting actress Alex Borstein all won at the Emmys in September.
“Our village is a matriarchy, and it’s led by Amy Sherman-Palladino,” said Brosnahan in her onstage speech, when she referred to the show as “this insane journey.” Watch the full speech above.

Brosnahan triumphed in a category that included fellow returning nominee Alison Brie from Netflix’s GLOW. The other three noms were from broadcast series: Debra Messing from NBC’s Will & Grace and Kristen Bell from NBC’s The Good Place, and Candice Bergen from the CBS revival of Murphy Brown.
Borstein was also up for a Globe tonight; Patricia Clarkson took the win for HBO’s Sharp Objects.
