Fox’s 9 PM The Masked Singer (2.3 rating in the adults 18-49 demo, 7.101 million viewers) trumped its fourth Wednesday in the demo. NBC’s 8 PM Chicago Med (1.3, 9.364M) topped the night in total viewers with its most watched episode in more than three years.
Med also came in No. 2 for the night in the demo, behind only Masked Singer, which ticked up week to week as did its lead-in 24 Hours to Hell and Back (1.1, 3.614M).
At 9 PM, Chicago Fire (1.2, 8.416M) also bested Fox’s singing reality series in overall audience; Fire grew in total viewers for a fourth consecutive week to finish 1.3M viewers ahead of Masked Singer.
And 10 PM Chicago P.D. (1.1, 7.219M) also edged out Fox’s singing reality show in overall audience, giving NBC the top three shows of the night.
CBS’ Big Brother: Celebrity Edition (1.1, 4.496M) lost some steam in its Wednesday debut after opening with a 1.4 on Monday and earning a 1.3 on Tuesday. But, for the first time this week, CBB‘s arrival did not lead to decline for CBS’ 9 PM drama. Wednesday night’s SEAL Team (0.8, 5.118M) matched its prior original’s demo performance.
ABC’s primetime lineup – The Goldbergs (1.2, 5.290M), Schooled (1.1, 4.400M), Modern Family (1.2, 4.496M), Single Parents (0.7, 2.798M) and Match Game (0,5, 2.286M) – was virtually unchanged week to week, though Single Parents shed a tenth in the demo. Modern Family’s demo rating matched its series low.
Fox (1.7, 5.357M) took the night in the demo, NBC (1.2, 8.333M) in total viewers. CBS (0.9, 4.710M) came in third in both metrics, sharing demo status with ABC (0.9, 3.593M). CW (0.3, 927K) followed with RIverdale (0.4, 1.132M) and All American (0.2, 722K).
