Pose‘s Hailie Sahar has landed a recurring role on Freeform’s The Fosters spinoff Good Trouble. The series follows Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) as they embark on the next phase of their young-adult lives in Los Angeles, as Mariana tackles the male-dominated world of tech and Callie faces the harsh realities of the federal legal system clerking for a federal judge. After moving to The Coterie in Downtown LA, Callie and Mariana realize that living on their own is not all that it’s cracked up to be. Faced with new neighbors, new challenges and, of course, new romances, the sisters must depend on one another to navigate the City of Angels. Sahar will play will Jazmin, Gael’s (Tommy Martinez) transgender sister, who comes from a traditional family. After losing her job, Jazmin goes to her beloved brother for help. She previously co-starred on the third season of Transparent and appeared on Mr. Robot. Sahar is repped by Pantheon and CW management.
'L.A.'s Finest' Season 1 Draws Solid Viewership Numbers For Spectrum As Season 2 Production Begins
Jake Busey (Predator) is set for a recurring role on L.A.’s Finest, Spectrum’s Bad Boys offshoot from writers Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier, Sony Pictures TV, Jerry Bruckheimer Television and 2.0 Entertainment, set for premiere this spring. It follows Burnett (Gabrielle Union), who last was seen in Miami taking down a drug cartel. She now has left her complicated past behind to become an LAPD detective. Paired with a new partner, Nancy McKenna (Jessica Alba), a working mom with an equally complex past, Burnett is pushed to examine whether her unapologetic lifestyle might be masking a greater personal secret. Busey will play Bishop Duvall an enigmatic criminal hoping to gain a foothold in the Los Angeles drug world. Busey next will be seen starring in comedic genre feature Dead Ant, which releases January 25, as well as the third season of Netflix’s Stranger Things. Busey is repped by Hummel Entertainment and Cohen & Gardner.
