Marvel Studios released a new “special look” video (it can also be considered a trailer) for the forthcoming Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson. Kicking off with a riff from Elastica’s “Connection”, the video is essentially a primer for those who aren’t necessarily familiar with the almighty super-shero that will open a new chapter to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The video (which you can watch above) has elements from the past Captain Marvel trailers, but this time gives info about the villainous shape-shifting Skrulls who seem to be invading the Earth. We also get more of the Kree and Larson and Jude Law engaging in some sort of physical training. We also see Larson’s Carol Danvers (aka Captain Marvel) showing off her photon blasting skills to a young Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).

The special look also shows us many things we have seen before in past trailers: Danvers’ mysterious past, Clark Gregg’s return as Agent Coulson, a glimpse of Ronan from Guardians (Lee Pace), and, of course, a mohawked Captain Marvel just flying around in space being the badass she is.
Captain Marvel opens in theaters March 8. Watch the video above.
