The Cannes Film Festival has appointed Aïda Belloulid as its Head Of Press Office effective immediately with longtime incumbent Christine Aimé moving to the new role of managing the festival’s heritage and archive department.
Belloulid will handle international as well as domestic print and digital press. As a publicist, she will also be responsible for press accreditations, as well as organizing screenings and press conferences. She will work alongside Frédéric Cassoly and Clément Lemoine who will remain in charge of audiovisual press.
Belloulid previously worked at French PR firm Le Public Système Cinéma, working with directors such as Nicolas Winding Refn, Terrence Malick, Alfonso Cuarón, Fatih Akin and Sergei Loznitsa. She also helped manage publicity and communications for festivals such as Deauville, Marrakesh, Beaune and Gérardmer.
Aimé, who has overseen press for more than a decade, will now manage new initiative ‘Festival Memory’. She will be tasked with creating and running the heritage, archive, and documentation departments of the festival, with a particular view to the 75th anniversary celebrations in 2022.
