The first trailer from the second season of the Emmy-nominated At Home With Amy Sedaris is out, showcasing the signature silliness of a conventional but subversive homemaker. The series returns Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 10 PM ET/PT.
Created by Amy Sedaris and Paul Dinello, the 10-episode second season will again revolve around a conventional homemaking theme, with twists taking segments in wacky directions. New topics explored this season include how to entertain teenagers, game nights, caring for the ill, and makeovers.
Guest stars for the second season include Rose Byrne, Matthew Broderick, Justin Theroux, Susan Sarandon, Gillian Jacobs, Juliette Lewis, Ellie Kemper, Fred Armisen, Michael Shannon, Ana Gasteyer, John Early, and James Monroe Iglehart, among others. Season one guest stars Cole Escola, David Pasquesi, Heather Lawless and Ana Fabrega return to reprise their roles.
The series helped to expand truTV’s reach during its season one run, with more than a quarter of the audience comprised of new viewers.
Actress, author, and comedian Sedaris is the co-creator, with Stephen Colbert and Paul Dinello, of the cult classic comedy series Strangers with Candy, and also half of the Obie-winning “Talent Family” playwright team with her brother, David Sedaris. She has written two best-selling books, I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence and Simple Times: Crafts for Poor People.
Season two of At Home with Amy Sedaris will be executive produced by Sedaris and A24’s Ravi Nandan. The 10-episode first season is currently available on the truTV app and On Demand.
