She’s Gotta Have It‘s Lyriq Bent is set for a key recurring role opposite Anna Paquin on Showtime’s The Affair. Bent plays Paul, the husband of Joanie (Paquin), sports agent and father of their two daughters. He struggles to keep his wife from falling off the cliff of depression, as they get closer and closer to a terrifying inevitability. Season five will chronicle the aftermath of the season finale’s horrific events and find the characters coming to terms with the consequences of their choices – as they make the realization that if they really want to change their futures, they must first, face the past. Bent is known for his role as Jamie Overstreet on Netflix’s She’s Gotta Have It, which is going into its second season on Netflix. Bent also starred in Acrimony for Lionsgate and in Nappily Ever After, which is currently streaming on Netflix. Clara Wong (Billions) has booked a recurring role on The I-Land, Netflix’s sci-fi adventure series from Neil LaBute and Nomadic Pictures Entertainment. Written by LaBute, in The I-Land, when ten people wake up on a treacherous island with no memory of who they are or how they got there, they set off on a trek to try to get back home. They soon discover this world is not as it seems. Faced with the island’s extreme psychological and physical challenges, they must rise to their better selves — or die as their worst ones. Wong will play Carol, who is tough, athletic, cruel, with a sardonic sense of humor. Wong recurs on Showtime’s Billions and co-stars in the independent drama/horror feature The Eyes of My Mother.
