UK distributor Park Circus has appointed former United International Pictures executive Mark Hirzberger-Taylor as CEO effective from March 1, 2019. Nick Varley and John Letham, founders and co-CEO’s of the firm, announced their departures in July.
Hirzberger-Taylor, who started his career in internal audit and subsequently as a territory manager in Indonesia, Turkey and Austria for Universal and Paramount JV UIP, has most recently consulted for Paramount Pictures in the Austrian market.

Park Circus is well known as a distributor of Hollywood, British and independent back catalogue films. The company represents over 25,000 films, including the libraries of all the major Hollywood studios.
The company recently expanded its activities to include distribution of first-run independent titles and also operates an international film sales arm to boot. The label has offices in Glasgow, London and Los Angeles.
