Insecure‘s Natasha Rothwell is expanding her relationship with HBO, signing an overall deal with the premium cabler.

Rothwell is a series regular and Supervising Producer on Issa Rae’s Peabody Award-winning HBO series Insecure. Concurrently, under the pact she is developing an original idea for HBO which she will executive produce, write and star in.

She’ll next be seen in Patty Jenkins Wonder Woman 1984, as well as the live-action animated film Sonic the Hedgehog based on the Sega video game. Rothwell also will appear in the indie film Limited Partners opposite Tiffany Haddish and Rose Byrne.

Her past projects include writing and starring in Netflix Presents: The Characters, an original sketch series which premiered in 2016, and before that was a writer for Saturday Night Live. Rothwell was recently seen in the hit film Love, Simon— an adaption of the YA novel Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda, directed by Greg Berlanti. She also is a staunch advocate for the arts and arts education— having worked with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, KIPP NYC College Prep High School, Arena Stage, Los Angeles Public Libraries, The Young Storytellers and The Story Pirates.

Rothwell is repped by WME and Edna Cowan Management.
