Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia’s Seven Bucks Productions has hired former WME agent Kevin Hill as Head of Television & Digital Development. In his new role,  Hill will help identify, develop and produce new scripted and unscripted projects across Seven Bucks Productions and Seven Bucks Digital Studios.

Hill moves to Seven Bucks from WME where he spent six and a half years in the non-scripted television department. Hill was deeply rooted in Seven Bucks’ unscripted business at WME and helped package several of the company’s projects including the anticipated forthcoming NBC series The Titan Games and BET’s Finding Justice, both set to premiere in early 2019. Other projects Hill worked on with Seven Bucks include HBO’s Rock and a Hard Place, Spike’s Rock the Troops, CNN’s Soundtracks: Songs that Defined History and the critically acclaimed podcast What Really Happened? with documentarian Andrew Jenks.

In addition to Johnson and Garcia, Hill worked with a cross-section of producers, brands and talent at WME including Reddit, Les Twins, Daveed Diggs, Andrew Jenks, Film 45 and Eli Roth, among others. While representing Les Twins, Hill negotiated their deal to star in Sony Pictures’ Men in Black spinoff alongside Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson set to release in 2019. Additionally, Hill assisted with the sales of documentaries including Ghostheads which sold to Netflix and The Bill Murray Stories: Life Lessons Learned from a Mythical Man which sold to Gravitas Ventures. Prior to WME, Hill worked with producers Stephanie Allain of Homegrown Pictures (Dear White People, upcoming The Fighting Shirley Chrisholm) and Paul Hall (For Colored Girls, Madea’s Witness Protection) on many films including Peeples starring Kerry Washington and Good Deeds, written and directed by Tyler Perry starring Thandie Newton.

He’s been a key driver of our growth, and we’ve been huge fans of his talents from the moment we first met,” said Seven Bucks Productions co-founders Dany Garcia and Dwayne Johnson.

Hill adds, “I was fortunate to watch Dwayne and Dany build an amazing foundation and culture at Seven Bucks and I’m honored to have the opportunity to work with them, the entire Seven Bucks team and WME in my new role. I look forward to finding new ways to deliver premium content to their diverse and global audience.”
