Netflix has dropped the trailer for the third and final season of A Series of Unfortunate Events.

The final-go-round promise to answer all of Violet (Malina Weissman), Klaus (Louis Hynes), and Sunny’s (Presley Smith) questions about the deaths of their parents and the secret organization V.F.D. along with the secrets of the coveted missing sugar bowl The footage also introduces new Season 3 cast members Allison Williams as Kit Snicket and New Girl‘s Max Greenfield, as well as the man who has been chronicling the tragic tale, Lemony Snicket.

A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans – Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – whose evil uncle Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler), the third and final season of the Peabody award-winning Netflix series premieres worldwide January 1, 2019.

The series is executive produced by Emmy-winner Barry Sonnenfeld, Rose Lam, Daniel Handler and Neil Patrick Harris. Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes, Presley Smith, Patrick Warburton, and K. Todd Freeman (among others) return for season three, along with returning guest-stars Lucy Punch, Tony Hale, Roger Bart and Robbie Amell.
