
Comedians Gabriel Iglesias and Wanda Sykes are boarding the voiceover cast of STX’s UglyDolls, joining Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas and Pitbull who were previously announced. The pic opens on May 10, 2019 and will officially launch the studio’s UglyDolls franchise with an animated TV series already underway on Hulu.

UglyDolls is based on the plush bestselling toy line created by David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim. The movie takes place in Uglyville and centers around the free-spirited Moxy and her UglyDolls friends who confront what it means to be different.
Iglesias is slated to begin production as star and EP on the Netflix comedy series Mr. Iglesias. Previous credits include, Magic Mike, Magic Mike XXL and Coco. Sykes is currently traveling the country in her Oh Well stand-up tour and will have a Netflix comedy special in 2019. She was nominated for Primetime Emmys in 2017 and 2018 for her role on ABC’S Blackish. Her film credits include the Bad Moms series, Monster-In-Law, and Nutty Professor 2; The Klumps.
Iglesias is repped by CAA and Arsonhouse Entertainment and attorney David J. Matlof. Sykes is repped by WME and attorney Roger Pliakas.
