Taken had been delivering underwhelming ratings in the Friday 9 PM hour, averaging 2 million-3 million viewers and 0.3-0.4 adults 18-49 rating (Live+same day) for the month prior of its dismissal. The show’s Season 2 Live+7 average is 0.7. Taken‘s final episodes will start airing at 8 PM Saturdays starting May 26.
The series from EuropaCorp TV USA and Universal Television followed the origin story of younger, hungrier former Green Beret Bryan Mills (Clive Standen) as he deals with a personal tragedy that shakes his world. As Mills fights to overcome the trauma of the incident and exact revenge, he is pulled into a career as a deadly CIA operative, a job that awakens his very particular, and very dangerous, set of skills. In 30 years, this character is destined to become the Bryan Mills in the Taken films starring Liam Neeson.
