Hater’s Back Off star Francesca Reale has been cast in a major recurring role on the upcoming third season of Duffer brothers’ hit supernatural series Stranger Things on Netflix.
Reale will play Heather, a popular lifeguard at the Hawkins Community Pool who becomes the centerpiece of a dark mystery.
Details on Season 3 are being kept under wraps, but we know the storyline jumps ahead a year and new forces of evil will be introduced. The show, created by sibling team Matt and Ross Duffer, follows the supernatural adventures of a group of kids in 80s-era fictional small town Hawkins, and has been an enormous hit with audiences and critics alike. The series has been nominated for a slew of awards since its summer 2016 season one debut, including the Golden Globes, Emmys, SAG, among others.
Reale recently wrapped production on the indie film Yes God Yes in a lead role opposite Natalia Dyerand Timothy Simons. She’s best known for her scene-stealing role in Haters Back Off, where she starred as Emily, the rational, level-headed younger sister of Miranda Sings (Colleen Ballinger). The series ran for two seasons on Netflix. Reale is represented by Buchwald and Atlas Artists.
