The A+E Networks’ broadcaster is launching the film on May 13 after the premiere of its scripted feature Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance. It is produced by Emma Read’s Emporium Productions, the company’s first A+E order in the U.S., and the deal was struck by production finance broker and distribution agent Silverlining.
Harry and Meghan: Royal Rebels looks at the most surprising and shocking rules of British Royal Weddings and reveals which of these regimented traditions the pair are updating and which ones they are disregarding. From royal guest lists to public displays of affection and dress regulations, the special will include interviews from royal experts and exclusive insider stories from close friends and former palace staff, as well as archive footage and photos that expose the secrets of a royal wedding. The documentary also will air globally on Lifetime, including in the UK.
