EXCLUSIVE: Malcolm Goodwin (CW’s iZombie, American Gangster) and Cara Santana (Netflix’s The Santa Clarita Diet, WGN’s Salem) will topline the family driven indie Be The Light (working title), which Goodwin is directing from a script by Victor Hawks (Pass The Light). In the process, she reconnects with her old friend Marvin (Goodwin), a former OG who is trying to turn the page and do some good for his community. Through their connection, Celina finds that spark in herself that she had lost, and together they lift her dad and the community around them.
Carl McDowell (HBO’s Baller) has also been cast as one of Marvin’s core friends and support in building the community.
