The CW has promoted Kevin Levy to EVP Program Planning, Scheduling, and Acquisitions ahead of the net’s expansion to a six-night schedule in the fall. A CW original who joined the network at launch in 2006, he oversees the strategic planning and scheduling of all its programming and has expanded his responsibilities to include the acquisitions of movies, specials and series.
“Kevin’s depth of experience and knowledge of scheduling and acquisitions are invaluable to the CW, especially as we expand our primetime schedule and add a sixth night of programming this fall,” said network president Mark Pedowitz. “I’m very pleased to announce this well-earned promotion.”
A 20-year scheduling veteran, Levy was named SVP Program Planning and Scheduling for the CW in 2014. He joined as Director of Program Planning and Scheduling and was promoted to VP in 2007. Among his key acquisitions for the net are summer series Penn & Tell: Fool Us and the upcoming adventure series The Outpost.
Levy transitioned to the CW from UPN, where he began his television career in 1998 as an assistant in the scheduling department.
