UPDATED with more insults: As the clock ticked toward Sean Hannity’s Fox News Channel show telecast, in which he promises to disembowel ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel for having made jokes about First Lady Melania Trump, he and Kimmel took their Twitter war up a notch.
In this latest round of insult-hurling, Hannity called Kimmel “a poor man’s Colbert.” Kimmel called Hannity “a poor woman’s Rachel Maddow.” A good time was had by all. And yes, this is how two grown men in the television industry defend Melania Trump and/or their right to make jokes about the First Lady of the United States:
Previous: as Twitter battle heated up: “When your clown makeup rubs off on Trump’s ass, does it make his butt look like a Creamsicle?” Kimmel, a disciple of Aristophanes, asked Hannity this afternoon, as their boys-will-be-boys brawl raged yeastily on Friday.
“And you kissed the ass of Obama and Hillary for years, Mr. Weinstein,” Hannity shot back, which isn’t nearly as good a gag. He’s taken to calling Kimmel “Harvey Weinstein Jr.” after discovering a treasure trove of video from Kimmel’s days on Comedy Central’s hyper-raunchy The Man Show in the late ’90s/early ’00s. Hannity is particularly taken with one in which Kimmel asked women to identify the bulge in his pants, telling them to feel free to use both hands, or their mouth.
“Answer this question: Would you want a stranger asking your daughter to “grab their crotch, and put their mouths on it? Yes or no, Harvey,” Hannity tweeted sternly.
“The answer is yes,” Kimmel responded, noting “every woman involved WILLINGLY participated – it’s called a comedy bit. It’s what you’ve been unwittingly doing for years.”
Then, matching Hannity old video for old video, Kimmel added, “Now YOU answer THIS question: Would you want your daughter being “grabbed by the pussy?” Yes or no?”
It’s of course a reference to President Donald Trump’s infamous Access Hollywood tape, in which he’s heard on a hot microphone boasting to the show’s Billy Bush that because he’s rich and the star of NBC’s Apprentice franchise, he can grab women “by the pussy” with impunity.

Previous, Hannity tweets Kimmel blackface ‘Man Show’ video: Sean Hannity and Jimmy Kimmel show no signs of tiring in their schoolyard brawl over First Lady Melania Trump. The two TV personalities continue to exchange punches today via Twitter while their programs are not on the air.
“Disney, are you proud to employ Harvey Weinstein Jr? Are you proud of this?” Hannity tweeted today, with a link to a blackface performance from back when Kimmel starred on The Man Show, Comedy Central’s raunchy sketch comedy series that ran from 1999 to 2004.
Hannity has been pounding on the Disney-owned ABC late-night host since Kimmel made monologue jokes about Melania’s participation in the White House Easter Egg Roll, including a joke about her accent as she read a children’s book. Hannity has taken to calling Kimmel “Harvey Weinstein Jr.” since discovering The Man Show videos.
Hannity also launched a poll today, asking “tonight will Jimmy Kimmel be 1 – asking 18 year old girls to grab his crotch? 2 – Attacking a woman reading books to children? Or 3 – be a racist asshole? 4 – All of the above.”
Hannity then predicted “Mr. Tough Guy” Kimmel “will likely not be responding any time soon” because “his 100 writers are likely sleeping.”
Hannity was wrong.
Kimmel sprung into action, tweeting, in re Hannity’s poll: “I vote for whichever one best helps you trivialize the horrors of Harvey Weinstein by comparing them to televised comedy bits in which every woman was a willing participant who gladly signed a release.”
Hannity fumed: “You are a bully attacking the First Lady of the USA. Attack me any time you want. Attack Donald Trump anytime you want. Suck up to Obama all you want. Having 18 year old girls grab your crotch is creepy and perverted. How would you feel if it was your daughter Harvey Jr.?”
Snarked Kimmel, “Thank goodness we have kind, tolerant men like you to protect this nation from bullies.”
Hannity, still pushing his crotch motif, argued back: “Stop picking on woman that can’t fight back Mr. Harvey Weinstein Jr. And maybe pledge not to ask 18 year old girls to touch your crotch and put their mouths on it like you did. Why don’t you be a grown up and simply apologize.”
Kimmell responded with a question: “When your clown makeup rubs off on Trump’s ass, does it make his butt look like a Creamsicle?”

Kimmel called Hannity an “ass clown circus” at the top of his show, after Hannity called him an “ass clown” on his show when he took issue with Kimmel making jokes about First Lady Melania Trump at the White House Egg Roll on JKL.
Hannity responded with a new nickname for Kimmel – “Harvey Weinstein Jr” – and a series of tweets linking to old clips from when Kimmel was on The Man Show, including one in which he had women guess what was in is pants.
He also started a hashtag: #pervertkimmel .
“This is ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel, aka Harvey Weinstein Jr., asking 18 year old girls to grab his crotch and “put their mouth on it,” Hannity tweeted. “Jimmy that’s your being a pervert asshole. How would you feel if that was your daughter? I bet Disney is so proud.”
“Also, Jimmy Kimmel attacking MELANIA TRUMP while reading a book to kids? What happened to ‘Mr. Morality’? Attacking a woman who is helping children? This is Disney?”
“So Jimmy Kimmel (aka Harvey Weinstein Jr) I’ll have much more tomorrow…Disney Tick Tock. Best Sean,” Hannity concluded.
Responded Kimmel: “I can’t wait.”
Countered Hannity: “Game on… Oh ask the boss Disney Bob about the conversation we had about you. Best Sean.”
Batted back Kimmel: “Bob Abooey?”
