To the surprise of no one, President Donald Trump’s fave morning show Fox & Friends attacked Michelle Wolf over her performance at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
As an alum of The Daily Show, she was predictably “way to the left” and dislikes Trump and everyone associated with him, the show’s three co-hosts began this morning. Still, they said, many were surprised by her “attack-dog style.”
They dismissed the statement delivered after the fact, by White House Correspondents Association president Margaret Talev, who said “Last night’s program was meant to offer a unifying message about our common commitment to a vigorous and free press while honoring civility, great reporting and sponsorship winners, not to divide people,” adding, “Unfortunately, the entertainer’s monologue was not in the spirit of that mission.”

“Oh, she delivered a message!” Steve Doocy snarked. adding that Talev knew exactly what she was doing when she invited Wolf.
Brian Kilmeade, who was in the ballroom, said there were “no laughs and she was just powering through it,” saying the only person he saw laughing was Rob Reiner. Ainsley Earhardt, meanwhile, took issue with Wolf’s jokes about White House Sarah Huckabee Sanders using the facts she burns at her briefings to make her perfect smoky-eye look, and comparing her to Aunt Lydia in The Handmaid’s Tale. Wolf has insisted she was not mocking Sanders’ appearance.
“Her eye makeup’s fine. I don’t understand that that’s not even funny, Earhardt complained. “The Aunt Lydia and The Handmaid’s Tale — if you Google that image, it’s not complimentary…Sarah Huckabee Sanders looked beautiful. She was sitting five feet from her right there on the stage. You know, and she handled herself gracefully. Look how pretty she looks. She looks amazing.”
Kilmeade bemoaned the fact Wolf is “high fiving” the reaction to her performance. “She’s going to get more famous for this,” he said.
