The morning after ABC News aired its full interview with James Comey, President Donald Trump tweeted his claim that the former FBI Director had “drafted the Crooked Hillary exoneration long before he talked to her (lied in Congress to Senator G)” [Grassley], “then based his decisions on her poll numbers. Disgruntled, he, McCabe and the others committed many crimes!”
Trump has not yet elaborated as to who are the “others.”
The tweet comes after ABC News aired its pre-taped interview with Comey, who Trump had sacked, which triggered appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller to take over the Russia probe. In the interview, Comey said it is possible Trump obstructed justice when he told Comey he hoped he would drop his investigation of now-former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who has since pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about conversations with Russia’s ambassador to the U.S., becoming the first senior White House official to cut a deal in Mueller’s investigation of election rannygazoo.
During the interview kicking off Comey’s tour to promote his book A Higher Loyalty, Comey acknowledged that as he was making various public pronouncements about his probes of Hillary Clinton’s emails, he was aware polls had her winning the election. Clinton has said Comey shivved her with his various pronouncements, costing her the win.
