Pablo Larrain’s ‘The True American’ Talks Are With Amazon, Not Annapurna

After holding a story about the construction of a package for Pablo Larrain’s The True American, I am dubious about a story I just read that Annapurna is making this film, which does have Amy Adams and Mark Ruffalo poised to star. My sources say that Annapurna exited the financing scenario, but that doesn’t mean the picture won’t happen. The conversation right now is with Amazon Studios, and signs are looking good to keep the picture on track for a spring production start. Amazon sources said yesterday they had hit an impasse, but I’m persuaded the deal will make shortly. Stay tuned and let’s see who’s right.
