
Former Sony digital exec Robert Osher has rejoined Miramax as its Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. He will oversee the company’s new task force focusing on growing its strategy in film, TV, and mergers & acquisitions.
During his seven years as President of Sony Pictures Digital Productions, SPA produced such theatrical pics as Hotel Transylvania and its sequel, The Smurfs films and the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs films.
Osher previously COO of the Columbia Pictures Motion Picture Group and Co-President of Production for Miramax. During his tenure at Miramax, he was co-head of the creative production department and ran the TV, legal, business affairs and physical production divisions. Since leaving Sony, Osher has been consulting for private-equity firms, international consulting firms and media companies.
