FremantleMedia North America (FMNA) has named Rick Glankler as President of Commercial Operations. The newly created position will have Glankler reporting to FMNA CEO, Jennifer Mullin. Glankler will be a key member of Mullin’s senior management team based in FremantleMedia’s Burbank headquarters.
Glankler will start his position immediately and will oversee the company’s strategy/business development, helping Mullin to identify potential investment opportunities, and mergers and acquisitions that best complement both FMNA and the overall FremantleMedia core businesses. He will also shepherd FMNA’s ancillary businesses including licensing, sponsorship and branded content, identifying new opportunities for growth and partnerships.
He will also head FMNA’s marketing/communications functions. Glankler will guide the teams to advance the company’s overall messaging and branding for its extensive scripted and unscripted portfolios. In addition, Glankler will oversee and provide strategic insight to FMNA’s vintage game show digital multicast network, BUZZR, as well as the company’s overall digital/social media efforts.

Glankler originally joined FremantleMedia in 2013 and was recently the President/General Manager of the company’s Kids & Family Entertainment (FMK) division. Before FremantleMedia, Glankler was at Mattel/Fisher Price, where he was a Senior Vice President of HIT Entertainment, overseeing their properties within the Fisher-Price division. Glankler also held positions at PepsiCo, Kraft and J. Walter Thompson.
