20th Century Fox TV veteran Vibiana Molina has been named EVP Business and Legal Affairs of the studio cable/digital division Fox 21 Television Studios.
In her new role, Milina will oversee the business and legal affairs of Fox 21, which produces such series as American Crime Story, Homeland, The Americans, Genius, Queen of the South, Feud and the upcoming Seven Seconds and Ratched. She will report to Fox 21 president Bert Salke.
Molina replaces Sandra Ortiz who recently left to run business operations for Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment.
“This business and its templates are seemingly changing on an hour-by-hour basis, and Vibiana is perfectly suited for such an environment,” Salke said. “She’s smart, innovative, hardworking and everything that we’re looking for in this crucial position. We couldn’t be more excited to have her join us.”
Molina joined 20th TV in 2005 and most recently served as EVP Business Affairs for the studio. In that capacity, she handled the business affairs operations and strategy of multiple series and projects in development including crafting new templates for the studio’s musical shows, from Ryan Murphy’s Glee to Lee Daniels’ Star and Daniels’ and Danny Strong’s Empire (co-produced with Imagine). Prior to joining the studio, Molina ran business affairs for Gavin Palone’s Pariah and also worked in the business affairs department of TNT Originals. She began her career in the music department of Manatt, Phelps and Phillips.
