
EXCLUSIVE: Actor and musician Tyson Ritter has landed three back-to-back upcoming projects. The All-American Rejects frontman is set to co-star alongside Jennifer Garner in the Lakeshore Entertainment/STXfilms’ thriller Peppermint, which follows Riley North (Garner), whose life was destroyed when gunmen, working for a drug dealer, kill her family and she spends the next five years training to return to Los Angeles to retaliate. Ritter will play Sam, a homeless man who joins Riley on her journey. Pierre Morel is directing pic from a screenplay by Chad St. John.
In addition, he will join Julianne Moore in Sebastian Lelio’s American adaption of his 2013 Chilean-Spanish drama, Gloria. From producers Pablo Larrain and Juan de Dios Larrain, the film centers on a divorcee in her 50s with two grown children, seeking companionship and rediscovering her strength and love for life. He’ll appear as a disruptive neighbor, whom Gloria will come across during her journey.
Ritter, who recently guest starred on AMC’s Preacher, has also landed a recurring gig on the network’s upcoming series Lodge 49, comedic drama from Jim Gavin, Peter Ocko, and Paul Giamatti. It centers on a Long Beach ex-surfer, Sean “Dud” Dudley (played by Wyatt Russell) who joins the fraternal Lodge 49. Ritter plays Avery, a Georgia school bus driver with a keen interest in philosophy. The series is slated to premiere in 2018.
Ritter just wrapped filming a starring role in the indie, Desolate, and his other film credits include The House Bunny and Miss You Already with Drew Barrymore and Toni Collette. He is repped by Brillstein Entertainment Partners, CAA and Behr Abramson Levy.
