EXCLUSIVE: Dancing With The Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd has landed her first acting gig in the faith-based family film Faith, Hope & Love, co-directed by JJ Englert and Robert Krantz, who is also starring in the film opposite Murgatroyd.
Murgatroyd stars as Faith Turley, a recently divorced woman whose troubles are compounded by the fact her dance studio is in jeopardy of being shut down. Needing money, Faith enters a “Pro and a Schmo” dance contest where she partners with Jimmy Hope (Krantz). It is this partnership that leads Faith to begin to rediscover her faith in life, love and the pursuit of her dreams.
Ed Asner, Michael Richards (Seinfeld), Corbin Bernsen (Psych), M Emmet Walsh (Blade Runner), and Natasha Bure (Switched For Christmas) round out the cast of the film, which is slated for release November 2018.
Krantz wrote the screenplay and is producing the project with Englert.
Murgatroyd, who has appeared on DWTS since 2011, is repped by Redrock Entertainment Development.
