Bruce Dern (The Hateful Eight), Owen Teague (Bloodline), Valorie Curry (American Pastoral), Chandler Riggs (The Walking Dead), and Dash Mihok (Ray Donovan) round out the cast of Inherit the Viper, joining Josh Hartnett and Margarita Levieva. The crime thriller, which center on the prescription drug epidemic, is from first-time director Anthony Jerjen, based on a screenplay by Andrew Crabtree.
The pic, set in West Virginia, follows siblings Kip (Hartnett), Josie (Levieva) and Boots (Teague) as they try to escape the spiral of violence that has held them captive since their father’s passing. In these regions left behind by the economy, selling drugs has become their way of survival. A business that is very hard to quit – at least not alive.
Michel Merkt and Benito Mueller are producers on the project, which is currently in production. Wolfgang Mueller of Barry Films will serve as exec producer.
Dern is repped by Innovative and Alan Somers. Teague is a client of Brevard Talent Group, Management 360 and Myman Greenspan Fineman Fox. Curry is with ICM and Thruline Entertainment. Riggs is also with ICM as well as The Bursting Company. Mihok is repped by Gersh and Untitled Entertainment.
