A very close Monday Night Football match-up between the winning Atlanta Falcons and the Seattle Seahawks up on ESPN took the night overall, but among the Big 4 it was a victory for ABC – for now.
Tops in fast affiliates among both adults 18-49 and overall viewers with a 1.6/6 rating and 10.35 million watching, the Disney-owned net saw the first night of the Dancing With the Stars (1.5/5) season finale and The Good Doctor (1.9/7) even with the early numbers of November 13. Like last night, last Monday saw NFL pre-emptions on some ABC affiliates that could see greater than usual adjustments for the net.
Compared to the first night of the DWTS fall finale of November 21, 2016, last night’s episode of the competition show was down 17% among adults 18-49.
Over on NBC, the first of the live rounds on The Voice (1.7/5) saw the singing competition series fall to a regular Monday series low. Down a tenth from the previous start of week series low of last season, the Jennifer Hudson, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Miley Cyrus judged show also stumbled 11% in the demo from the fast affiliates of its November 13 show.
While The Voice was the second highest rated show of the night on the Big 4, its slip saw The Brave (0.9/3) down a tenth too.
Fox’s Lucifer (0.93) and The Gifted (0.9/3) were both down a tenth from last week’s final numbers. The CW saw Supergirl (0.5/2) and Valor (0.2/1) even with their November 13 airings.
CBS’ Seattle affiliate played the Seahawks and Falcons game up in the Pacific Northwest, which could see greater than usual adjustments. As it is, Kevin Can Wait (1.4/5) and Man With A Plan (1.2/4) are up 11% and 20% respectively. Superior Donuts (1.0/4) also rose 11%, while 9JKL (0.8/3) was the same as last week. Closing out the night for the House of Moonves, 10 PM’s Scorpion (0.9/3) rose 13% among adults 18-49 – the best it has done in the demo since its Season 4 debut on September 25.
