EXCLUSIVE: Lindsay Dunn has been named Executive Vice President Production at Russo Brothers Studio, the new production venture formed by Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo. She leaves WME, where she has been a longtime television agent. Dunn will oversee both film and television projects for the Russo Brothers and report to production president Mike Larocca.
“As longtime clients of WME, Lindsay has become one of the people in the industry who we most respect and admire,” Joe and Anthony Russo said in confirming the hire. “We feel very fortunate that she’s joining our company, and we’re excited to further what has been an inspired and productive collaboration with her.”
Said Dunn: “I’m excited for the opportunity to join Joe and Anthony in their new venture. The Russos’ ambition to build a talent-centric studio is a distinctive and bold vision that offers a unique home for all types of projects in television and film. While I’m sad to be leaving my home of the past fourteen years, I’m grateful to my incredible colleagues at WME who I look forward to working with in my new role.”
Dunn began her career 14 years ago as an assistant at Endeavor and was promoted to agent in 2008. During her time at WME, she worked with television writers, directors and producers.
While they moved directly from their second Captain America movie into back-to-back sequels to Marvel’s The Avengers, the Russo Brothers have simultaneously been working on the launch of their new studio since early last year. It was aimed to function as an artist collective with an eye toward directing films and producing others. They recently made their first deal for the next film to be written and directed by Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the team behind Swiss Army Man.
The Russo Brothers have made subsequent deals that include Exit West, a film that will be directed by The Imitation Game‘s Morten Tyldum; the TV series Deadly Class for Syfy; series The Master Mind; and a Larry Charles project.
