EXCLUSIVE: The Gotham Group has formed a strategic alliance with commercial production company 1stAveMachine, which recently launched a talent management arm in an effort to expand its content production business. Ross Siegel, who was recently tapped as the head of 1stAveMachine Management, will oversee this new deal with Gotham Groups’ Peter McHugh.
Under the pact, 1stAve will be able to segue its roster of commercial directors into other platforms including film and television as the company now has access to Gotham’s client base and intellectual property. Meanwhile, Gotham Group will deploy 1stAve’s roster of directors and other creatives in the film and television sectors.
“Our two companies have different but complementary skill sets,” says 1stAve co-founder Serge Patzak. “All of our clients, whether an ad agency, a brand, or an individual creator, will benefit in some way from the pairing of 1stAveMachine and The Gotham Group. The deal dramatically expands the marketplace for our roster.”
“I am blown away by the cutting edge work that they are producing at 1stAve in the commercial, VR and AR space,” said Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Founder & CEO of Gotham Group. “Their eye for talent has proven itself with their incredible roster of directors and artists. We couldn’t be more excited to combine our businesses and to reach even more of the viewing audience through this partnership. Our rosters already have great synergy and we hope that a closer working relationship will maximize opportunities for all parties.”
