Steve Hasker, most recently global president and chief operating officer of Nielsen Media Holdings, has been set as CEO of the new CAA Global, which now includes under its banner CAA China, the agency’s merchant bank Evolution Media, CAA Ventures and Vancouver-based Creative Labs.
CAA said in announcing the appointment that Hasker will manage the intersection between the agency’s representation business and its high-growth businesses and investments. He will also join CAA’s board of directors, and have oversight of the company’s strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, principal investing, corporate development initiatives, and data strategy. He starts in January.

At Neilsen Holdings, Hasker oversaw the company’s commercial-, data-, and product-related activities for its media and consumer businesses. Before joining Nielsen in 2009, he was a partner in McKinsey & Company’s Global Media, Entertainment and Information practice.
