Justified and The Shield alum Walton Goggins has landed the villain role in the MGM/Warner Bros/GK Films reboot Tomb Raider, starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft. The film will follow a young and untested Croft fighting to survive her first adventure. Roar Uthaug is at the helm working from a script written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet. The pic will bow in theaters March 16, 2018. Goggins currently stars in the HBO’s dark comedy Vice Principals, which recently wrapped its first season and will debut the second next year. Other upcoming projects include the film Three Christs Of Ypsilanti, in which he plays the role of Christ, and History’s military action drama Six from A+E Studios and The Weinstein Co.
Sam Daly has been added to the zombie pic Office Uprising, which is being directed by Lin Oeding with a screenplay from Ian Shorr and Peter Gamble. Brenton Thwaites stars a slacker who has to step up his game in order to rescue himself and his friends from a growing zombie plague inside his company compound. Jane Levy, Zachary Levi, Alan Ritchson and Ian Harding co-star. Thwaites, Stephanie Pinola, and Chris Conover are executive producing with Giulia Prenna, Jim Steele, Sean Lydiard and William Clevinger serving as producers. Repped by Primary Wave and Abrams Artists, Daly currently recurs on CBS’ Madam Secretary and recently starred in Gary Lundgren’s sci-fi film Black Road.
