Blunt Talk star Mary Holland has a busy next few months. She’s landed a key recurring role on the sixth season of HBO’s Veep, as well as a role in Unicorn Store, which stars Brie Larson who also directs.
In Veep she’ll play a high powered political fundraiser in a season-long arc. The multi-Emmy-winning series recently received two 2017 Golden Globe nominations, best television series musical or comedy and best actress in a musical or TV series comedy for star Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Production is currently underway in Los Angeles on Unicorn Store. It centers on a lonely art school dropout (Larson) who moves back in with her parents and makes up her mind to take growing up seriously by climbing the corporate ladder at a PR firm. Holland will play Joanie, one of Larson’s co-workers in the firm. Pic also stars Sam Jackson, Joan Cusack and Bradley Whitford.
Holland, who plays Shelly in Blunt Talk, is also a member of the sketch group Wild Horses with Erin Whitehead, Lauren Lapkus and Stephanie Allynne. The group performs regularly at UCB and just secured a regular slot at the Largo beginning in February. Holland is repped by ICM Partners, Primary Wave Entertainment and Ziffren Brittenham.
