EXCLUSIVE: Gravitas Ventures has acquired worldwide rights to The Strike, a female-driven comedy-drama starring Erin Fogel and Bronson Pinchot. The film will be released worldwide on all major digital platforms December 13.
Pinchot is working himself back into acting after a hiatus, recently inking with Bohemia Group and Stone Manners Salners Agency.
“The Strike has a multi-cultural and eclectic cast which carries all the humor and funnies of a great comedy film,” said Fogel, who stars and exec produces. “It was exciting to act opposite Bronson and bring him back into the limelight again. He is such a talented, seasoned actor to work with. We look forward to bringing our film to a global audience.”
Filmed entirely on location in New York, The Strike, written and directed by Guillermo Ivan, follows three less-than-talented New York actors who, after years of missed opportunities, criticism and bad first impressions, take fate into their own hands when they devise a half-baked theatrical “siege.” The film won best feature comedy award at the 2016 Manhattan Film Festival.
In addition to Fogel (27 Dresses) and Pinchot (Perfect Strangers), The Strike also stars Paul Calderon (Pulp Fiction), Guillermo Ivan (Vantage Point) and Christopher Marquez (Habana Instant).
Fogel is also repped by Bohemia Group and Andreadis Talent Agency.
The deal was negotiated by Brendan Gallagher on behalf of Gravitas and Glen Reynolds of Circus Road Films on behalf of the filmmakers.
